Heartbleed Bug

Posted by Mark Thomas on 15th Apr 2014

We built this new site to ensure your experience on the VikingCue.com is informational, safe and secure. VikingCue.com has been operational for over one month now.

On April 7, 2014, an internet-wide SSL bug, codenamed Heartbleed, was discovered and since then has received regular media coverage. The Heartbleed vulnerability allows an attacker to discover sensitive information such as the keys that are used to protect communication, as well as user passwords that would normally be encrypted. As an online shopper, you may have read about this bug because it has impacted many websites.

This blog post is designed to give you basic information about the bug and assure you that with our website build and server version, Vikingcue.com was never susceptible to this vulnerability and never will be.

No Heartbleed Here, Viking Cue Safe and Secure

Since Heartbleed allows attackers to steal information and passwords with ease, the best thing to do is to start changing those passwords now. We’re not saying you have to, but it might be a good idea to change your VikingCue.com password to something that you have not used on any other website. We know it’s annoying, but you should still do it.
